Religious Left Demonizes Chicago Terror-Funding Investigation
by Alan Wisdom
Alan Wisdom shows how the Religious left has taken an anti-Israel stance and demonizes efforts to expose money being funneled through charity groups to terrorist groups. An anti-Jewish stance by some Christians is nothing new and usually is blamed on the whole Church, especially the Catholic Church. But if we look deeper we can see now just as in the past anti-Semitism coming to fruit from religious groups or part of certain denominations which will allow themselves to be used by anti-Christian influences, under the guise of social justice and/or socialistic utopianism and the state.
The Nazis in Germany had no love for or use for the Church, but tried to replace it with its own version or form of Christianity. It knew it couldn't outright replace Christianity overnight with their pagan socialist “utopia”, but would have to replace the Church in steps.
Today there are many who are doing the same, some I would guess on purpose, some out of ignorance, and some possibly because of demonic oppression, otherwise why would you have main-line dominations that claim to be Christians, yet have embraced ideas that Christianity has always opposed, such as abortion, open homosexuality and same sex marriage? Even within the Catholic Church, there are coordinated efforts from groups that have embraced a direct anti-Church stance, yet niggardly withhold their love for Christ and stab at the heart of the Church’s Magisterium, refusing to submit wholly to its authority or to leave the Church they seem to hate.
The early Church was persecuted by both the state and by its mother religion Judaism. When Christianity became the state’s sanction religion a big part of being state-controlled gave the Church an anti-Semitic taint to her character. The Church struggled between God’s commandments and the states’ commandments through the years but finally with help of the reformation and the final separation of Church from state, the Church was able to shed her shackles of the state, including much of her anti-Semitic sentiments.
Now we find many claiming to be Christians embracing the state over the Church again. Many of the same people which on one hand claim that Christianity has no place in the public square, trying to divorce Judeo-Christian morality from political discourse, are at the same pushing anti-Judeo-Christian immorality onto the Church, embracing socialism and liberal theology, these are the same type of people supporting the enemies of Israel.
