And what is Schizophrenia?
Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that has affected people throughout history. About 1 percent of Americans have this illness. People with the disorder may hear voices other people don't hear. They may believe other people are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts, or plotting to harm them. This can terrify people with the illness and make them withdrawn or extremely agitated. People with schizophrenia may not make sense when they talk. They may sit for hours without moving or talking. Sometimes people with schizophrenia seem perfectly fine until they talk about what they are really thinking.Supposedly responsible individuals, including a sheriff, are trying to blame their ideological opposites of triggering the event which is BS to the max.
People have died, families and friends are hurting. Take a breath America. Let us take time to say a prayer, and allow more evidence to be revealed before we fall trap to a world seemingly more under control of reactionary responses that make us all more kin to the actions of a schizophrenic's delusions then the delusions of the shooter himself.
My heart aches for Congresswoman Giffords, Judge Roll, the 9-year-old angel and all the others and their families touched by yesterday's senseless act of cowardliness.
Lord have mercy on our nation, give us wisdom, and give us comfort.
Schizophrenia is a treatable and managable disorder and this blog post is not intended to be derorgatory toward people suffering with schizophrenia or other mental disorders.
